Promoting Family Wellness

The Healthy Families of Randolph County program offers home visitation, by trained staff, to eligible families in Randolph & Macon Counties.  The goal is to promote child well-being, strengthen parent-child relationships, and promote healthy childhood growth and development through home visitation. This is a VOLUNTARY program.

  • Family must live in Randolph or Macon County, MO.
  • Family must be Medicaid-eligible.
  • Family must be enrolled during pregnancy or have an infant under the age of 3 months. Services may be offered until the child turns 3 years of age.

After an assessment to determine if a family meets qualifications, a Family Support Specialist (FSS) will make regular visits to the home.  The frequency of visits will be based on the age of the child and the needs of the family.  Services will be offered Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. or as arranged with the FSS and family.

These services are free to eligible families and are limited by funding through the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.   Once the maximum number of families is enrolled, applicants will be provided with community referrals to meet their needs.
