Why Be a Vendor?
The Randolph County Farmers Market is held at the historic Fennel Building, which provides a beautiful, welcoming space for vendors and consumers alike. Although we are still growing, this season our market has averaged approximately 300 consumers per market, which provides vendors with ample opportunities to sell specialty or niche products, products that are limited in quantity, and seasonal items with very little financial investment. Additionally, by participating in your local farmers market, you help to provide social, economic, and health benefits to your community. Farmers markets provide a great place to meet and socialize with neighbors and offer an alternative shopping experience. They bring people outside, help to improve neighborhoods, and provide an economic boost to the community. Farmers markets also increase access to fresh food, allowing consumers to develop relationships with local growers, raising awareness about the food system, and promoting healthy eating habits.
