Randolph County, MO: Randolph County was notified of 3 new positive COVID-19 cases. All three cases traveled to the same place together and contracted the virus while away. They quarantined when they began developing symptoms have since been isolated at home. Contact tracing has been completed on three of the five active cases and our nursing staff are working with the other two patients to complete contact tracing.
Randolph County currently has 5 active cases, 12 recovered, 0 deaths, and 0 hospitalized.
The Randolph County Health Department understands that many people travel and take vacations over the summer months, but we would like to remind everyone to be mindful of social distancing, proper handwashing, good hygiene, and wearing a mask when social distancing cannot be maintained. It is especially important to practice these things when traveling to new areas and when you are surrounded by those whom you are unfamiliar with.
Remember to stay at home if you are sick or have any of the following symptoms:
- Fever or chills
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Muscle or body aches
- Loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
