Randolph County, MO: Randolph County was notified of 4 new positive COVID-19 cases. Our staff is working with the patients to gather information and begin contact tracing. We do not currently know the source of their infection, but will update you as more information becomes available.
These cases were not associated with our drive through testing that we conducted last week. We are still waiting for the results of approximately 30 people. So far all of those tests have returned negative. We will continue to contact everyone tested to let them know their results as they become available.
Randolph County currently has 9 active cases, 12 recovered, 0 deaths, and 1 hospitalized. This makes 21 total cases in our county.
Please continue to social distance as much as possible, practice proper handwashing (use soap and warm water, scrubbing for at least 20 seconds), use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol if handwashing is not available, cover your cough and sneeze with a disposable tissue or into your sleeve, and wearing a mask when social distancing cannot be maintained.
Remember to stay at home if you are sick or have any of the following symptoms:
- Fever or chills
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Muscle or body aches
- Loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
